Ardrossan Lodge Presentation of Bar to Fifty Year Jewel

At the Ardrossan Lodge No. 150 meeting of 21st November 2016 it was the Lodge's pleasure to have 93 year old Bro. Lawrence Whittaker present to receive the Bar to his Fifty Year Jewel.
Bro. Whittaker joined Ardrossan Lodge in 1960 and is the only surviving Member from that era.
Worshipful Master RWBro. Hank Hill reminded him of the Brethren of that time; his Proposer and Seconder; and the Master and Wardens.
Bro. Whittaker has served as the "Chief" Steward and sometimes Acting Chaplain for many years and specialised in South East Corner and Lesser Lights on the floor.
Although age and health have severely limited his attendance at Lodge meetings and functions, he thoroughly enjoyed the night and entertained the Brethren with his reminiscing of "the Old Days".
