Edwardstown Complex Social Club Bowls Night

On the 30th March 2017 the Edwardstown Complex Social Club held its Annual Bowls Night, which has been in existence for approximately twenty years.
Traditionally it is a Memorial Bowls Night in honour of Bro. Alan Griggs, a Member of Edwardstown Lodge who passed away suddenly at a Lodge Meeting.

Edwardstown, Edwardstown Lewis, Glenelg and Thespian Lodges were all represented with thirty-two people in attendance - one of the largest gatherings held in recent years!
The evening started around 6:00 PM with a gold coin donation for the sausage sizzle supper. As it was still Daylight Saving Time, the Bowls commenced at 7:00 PM in daylight, finishing around 9:00 PM but with lighting.
The Trophy was presented by last year’s winning team and then the evening concluded with a raffle.
Congratulations and thanks are extended from the participating Lodges to John Roberts and Tony Wilson for a very well organised event with the hope of everyone returning yet again next year.
