Fifty Years Service Certificate and Jewel for Bro. James (Jim) Aird MSA

12 Apr 2018 - 1:23pm

On Tuesday 13th February 2018 RWBro. Peter Symons PAGM presented -  on behalf of Grand Lodge - Bro. Jim Aird MSA with his Fifty Year Service Certificate, Jewel and Lapel Pin.  The presentation was made at Bro. Aird's house where a very warm welcome was extended to all.

RWBro. Symons and Bro. Aird (pictured left) have, for many years, been keen Lawn Bowls players and at times members of the same Bowling Club.  The two enjoyed reminiscing about old times with much laughter being the order of the day.

Bro. Aird was initiated into Marlborough Lodge No. 179 in June 1967 and joined The Henley Lodge No. 79 in 1987 where he served as Treasurer for 13 years from 1989.

The Secretary of The Henley Lodge No. 79 also attended the presentation and reminisced over the members that Bro. Aird has known in the Lodge.

The Masonic views of Bro. Aird are still being kept alive to this day.  He attends, as a lay preacher , to members of his Church who are unable to attend Church Services and assisting them in whatever way he can.
