Gawler Mark Emergency Meeting

5 Jan 2018 - 11:09am

Gawler Mark Lodge No.14 was blessed with the proposition of a double Advancement for their September 2017 meeting but at the suggestion of RWBro. Bill Penley SGW, the Gawler Mark No. 14 brethren split the ceremony and held an emergency meeting on 6th October 2017 at the Ridgehaven Masonic Hall to enable Tea Tree Gully Mark Lodge No. 56 to participate in an Advancement ceremony, something they had not performed for some time.

Brethren from Salisbury Mark Lodge No. 52 also participated in the ceremony of Advancement for Bro. Denis Von Allworden.

A special dispensation was granted by the

MW Grand Master, David Kitching to enable Gawler Mark No. 14 to meet at the Ridgehaven complex.

Almost 30 Mark men attended the evening including RWBro. Graham Bollenhagen who was thrilled to be able to participate, and sat in the Master Overseers' chair for the evening.

The candidate was delighted to have such a big attendance and the Worshipful Masters of each lodge agreed that the evening was a huge success and perhaps had set a precedent for the future.
